On Coronavirus

We could call ourselves a family-owned company, but that would be a bit disingenuous; we're owned by Larry Ferguson, sure, but both employees--his wife and step-son (hello, by the way. You didn't think he made the website, did you?)--are his actual family members, making it a bit more of a family company. (Yes, it sounds cheesy, that's why we don't lead with it). 

So: we get it. The absolute last thing we want to do is expose our loved ones to this awful disease, nor do we want to endanger our friends, neighbors, or anyone else that calls this weird, rainy little place home. That being said, we also realize that many people (ourselves included) can't afford to stop their lives indefinitely until it's safe to go outside again, to say nothing of the brave medical personnel and essential workers putting their health and lives on the line to keep our country running.

We're proud to offer outdoor signing and contactless delivery of any vehicle sold from our inventory.

So what can we do? Well, first and foremost--educate ourselves. If you haven't already, the World Health Organization has an excellent FAQ on Covid-19 and what you can do to protect yourself here; please, read it! It's a quick read, and incredibly helpful. Bad information is a danger not only to ourselves but to our community and country.  


After that, of course, we have to do everything we can to help keep everyone safe. For us, that means wearing face coverings and gloves when working on inventory, inside or outside, as the virus can live on surfaces anywhere from a few hours to a few days; conducting business remotely when possible and practicing social distancing when not; and disinfecting inventory when it comes in, before and after test drives, and before it is driven off the lot.

Beyond that, we're proud to offer outdoor signing and contactless delivery of any vehicle sold from our inventory. Any and all paperwork that must be signed during a sale or consignment--usually a vehicle title, bill of sale, or odometer disclosure--can and will be signed outdoors and while socially distanced, minimizing exposure for everyone involved.


Uncomfortable or unable to travel to pick up that shiny new car you just bought? No problem--we're happy to deliver! We can drive your new car right into your driveway, or load and transport it with our trailer to minimize our time inside your car (and, with it, your risk of exposure). All it takes is an address and a socially distanced signature.

If you're outside the greater Portland area--don't worry, we mean you too! We've personally delivered cars to clients more than 200 miles away and partnered with our auto industry contacts across the state to ship cars on our clients' behalf across the western US. The same flexibility that lets us outbid and outperform big-name dealerships lets us adapt to the realities of the pandemic in ways that they can't.

What do we mean by 'flexibility'? We mean we want you to talk to us. If you need a car--or to sell one, or car advice, or quarantine TV recommendations, or what have you--but are unsure if now's the right time due to the pandemic, please, let us know. We have the same fears you do. If there's any way we can safely fulfill your needs, we will; if there isn't, we'll tell you. Your safety comes first. Always. 


This pandemic has presented us with a choice. We can come together as a community and emerge on the other side stronger for it, or we can fall apart. We know what we're choosing, and we hope you do the same.
